Day 2 - Breckenridge
February 18th, 2001

Another good day of skiing in Colorado! Today we hit Breckenridge...not as great as Copper, but still quite nice. Unfortunately, being the Sunday of a holiday weekend made lift lines very long (over 25-30min at times) on most lifts...much longer than at Copper.

However, we did find some decent terrain away from crowds...mainly on the summit T-bar, on the Pika Slope...a steep but groomed cruiser.

Here are some pictures from today.

Here's Chris Bradford at the top of the summit T-bar. Check out the view! Those clouds dropped a few flurries in the afternoon.
Here's a view of the surrounding mountains, including Keystone Resort, from the top of the T-bar.
Yes folks, this is a lift! Pictured here is the corner of a Poma double chair. Can't quite explain how this lift works...you have to see it to believe it! What a convoluted mess!
And of course...what ski trip is not complete without a visit to the local lost ski area. Here's the Breckenridge Municipal Park, where a rope tow operated in the 1970's/1980's. It is still used today by sledders.
Here's Betsy McDonough in the parking lot of the former  Breckenridge Municipal Ski Area, with a small portion of Breckenridge Resort looming behind her.
