According to the World Ski Book, there was a 1000 foot tow that served a slope suitable for intermediate and expert skiers in the town of Durham. It was used often for competition and offered night skiing. The area only operated weekends, with weekdays reserved in advance for ski groups.
As for what happened to it after 1949, I'm unsure. Anybody live near this one that remembers it?
