Thanks to Bill Clew, we now know of this area that operated in Dudley. Here are his details:
Nichols Junior College in Dudley, now Nichols College, used to set up a rope tow each winter on a small, east-facing slope behind the old gym, for its students. I guess others used it, too. I think it closed in the 1960's. The hill may have had a 100-foot vertical, maybe less. It depended on natural snow. Part of the hill now is taken up by the college's field house and the football field now occupies the outrun.
