Oak Hill Twin Trails
Conway, NH
Before 1938-Early 1940's

According to the 1938-1939 Ski NH guidebook, a 675' rope tow served a 285' drop ski area 1.5 miles south of Conway off Rte 16 on Oak Hill. Several beginner slopes were served by this trail, although other trails were found near the summit. It was described as having "Plenty of space for beginners, but chiefly of interest to the expert, tow operates on weekends only."

Here's a map of the area, in the lower-middle section. The ski area to the right is the Jackson Farm Tow.

The area operated for sure until 1941 according to the 1941 Ski NH guide, but probably closed during World War II, never to reopen.

I tried finding this area during the summer of 1999 - no luck, though I did find Oak Hill south of town. Not much to see!
