Leicester Ski Area

Leicester, MA

Years Operational Unknown

Thanks to the New England Ski Museum, we now know of this ski area that operated in Leicester. A brochure turned up during NELSAP's scanning visit in February. There was some information to glean from that brochure.

Although the brochure was undated, I am estimating that it is from the 1960's/early 1970's. In that year, the ski area offered night and day skiing on 3 slopes, each 1000 feet long. Difficulties of the trails ranged from beginner to expert. A 100' X 80' skating rink provided ice time to non-skiers.

Rates were quite cheap, with the maximum ticket being $3.00/day.

Shown here is the lounge, which served plenty of food and drink to skiers and non-skiers alike.

Laurie P. believes the ski area was at the Leicester Golf Course.

Does anybody else remember this ski area?
