Centre de Ski Lac Carling
Pine Hill

??-1997

Adam Davis: I learned how to ski at the age of 5 or so at a place called Centre de Ski Lac Carling (Carling Lake Ski Center) in Pine Hill, Quebec (North of Montreal not too far from Lachute) on route 327 North.  The Carling Lake golf course and resort was, and still is located right across the road.  The place had a double chair (Mueller I think) and a T-Bar made by Poma.  They also had an old rope-tow at the top of the hill that took skiers across the top of the hill to another couple of trails.  I think there were maybe 7 or 8 trails in total.  I last skied there in 1991-1992 season when it apparently went into financial difficulty.  I don't know whatever happened to the place... and I have since moved away from the Montreal area.  The area was a great place to learn because it was never too busy, the scenery was gorgeous, and the facilities were pretty good.  I recall that snowmaking and two lighted trails were added in the late 1980s.

Francois Massicotte: Lac Carling ski area is closed since spring 1997. I think it has closed few years before and reopened few years to close definitively after the 1996-97 season. (I'm at least 100% sure for 1997).
