According to Adam Dawson, we now know of this rope
tow area that operated in Raquette Lake. Here are his details:
We used to camp at Brown Tract Ponds state campground (upstate NY, Adirondack area) when I was a kid. There is a dirt road that takes you from the town of Raquette Lake to the Brown Tract campground. On this dirt road, if you look up in the trees there are old rope tow wheels.
